Introduction
In this essay we will talk about of fatherhood and his implication on feminism. As an example, we will choose the practice of the latin fathers doesn't participate of their breeding.
Developing
If we want to talk this topic is necessary to check te context of Latin America. The colony time was marked by the imposition. Indigenous womens were be raped by the spanish conquerors and his sons, mestizos, was be discriminate of no belonging to any race cathegory. This marks the founding myth of the common practice of having children and don’t participation in the breeding.
But, If in the beginnin the fathers had a race excuse. What excuse has the rest of the fathers throughout the history? Why are the fathers mainly and not the mothers?
At this moment enters the maleness (and the feminism to reply). Gender stereotypes say that women are mothers by default. If they have an abandoned child nearby, they will take care of it because they should. That is also why they are not only the responsibility of their mothers: grandmothers, aunts and many neighbors will go to their aid.
Conclusion
Feminism was has identified gender stereotypes and allowed us to raise the need to talk about fatherhood. As men it is necessary to abolish this practice that comes from so long ago and understand our historical burden and consider ourselves as a challenge to overcome it.
